Legislative Priority Three
The Child Custody Protection Act (CCPA) would make it a Federal offence to transport a minor across state lines for an abortion if this action circumvents the application of a state law requiring the parental involvement in a minor's abortion (or judicial waiver of such a requirement).
The Religious Reich cloaks its agenda in words such as 'protection' and 'circumvent' to hide the fact that it wants to over-throw any legal institution in disagreement. The Reich is attempting, and succeeding, to attach its oppressive plan for our country to words that represent our ethical standards (child custody, protection) and our legal restrictions (circumvent the application of state law).
In reality, the people who make up the Reich are the real culprits. The so called Child Protection Act is a front for the Reich's determination to invalidate laws in states that disagree with them about who should control a woman's reproductive capabilities.
How ethical is this?
These are unprecedented times, and they call for unprecedented responses. Those of us who respect religious diversity, personal freedom, the separation of church and state, the sanctity of the Constitution, and freedom of speech, much put aside our divisions, and our egos and work together to bring the Religious Reich to a halt.
